On Making is a podcast about craft, design, and learning in the age of AI: conversations with makers, thinkers, and practitioners about what it means to make things well.

Hosted by Bobby George and Samuel Mensah-Bonsu, it lives at the intersection of the humanities and technology.

On Making

Something we've been making

For a while now, we've been tinkering on a podcast. It's called On Making: conversations about craft, design, and learning in the age of AI.

The show starts from a simple conviction. Making is one of the most human things there is, and this is a moment to celebrate and deepen that. The tools are changing and the possibilities are expanding, and the questions at the heart of creative practice feel more alive than ever. What does it mean to make something? Where does an idea come from? What does one maker owe to another?

We're talking with people who take those questions seriously. Designers, educators, philosophers, builders, anyone for whom making is a way of thinking. Every conversation follows the same simple spine: when they first fell in love with design, the last thing they made for fun, the mentors whose influence they still feel in their hands, what AI changes about their work and what it leaves untouched, and what they're trying to make that they haven't made yet.

First episodes are coming soon. We hope you'll listen. Better yet, we hope it sends you back to your own workbench, your own practice.
